Three Winter PoemsA FRESH FALL OF SNOWThree Winter Poems by Flutingspirit
A fresh fall of snow,
Will it ever end ?
The new falls on the old.
Already the middle of
The second month,
Already my Birthday
Two hours gone.
Soon that to will be buried
Under many tomorrows
And winter will be upon me.
SNOW ON THE GROUND
Snow on the ground
Emboldens the moonlit shadows.
Like dark ink on white parchment
They write poems of fence posts
And road signs.
Natures tribute to the works of man.
The beating heart beneath
A delicate skin of cloud.
The pulsing stars look on,
Bloated with the destinies of men.
