Bad Neighbourhood - PoemThe cold claws of winterBad Neighbourhood - Poem by Flutingspirit
Hang from eaves.
And indolent snow
dreams on its stony bed.
The air is a frigid snarl.
A hoodlum leaning on the gatepost of Spring
And i am afraid to go out of my door.
Afraid, even though
That wonderful blue sky,
That vast siren seductress of air
Whispers sweet flower scented lies
Into my ear
Like a lover with a knife.
Leaf BringersA gathering of birdsLeaf Bringers by Flutingspirit
In the late winter tree.
Each one a leaf,
Each beak an invocation
Of the spring to come.
They mark each bough with magic
Then to the next, move on.
